About the Hillacious Half Marathon
The Hillacious Half is built around hills, and the name is not an exaggeration. The course is deliberately punishing, meant to reflect the endurance demanded of military service members, and runners carry personalized dog tags engraved with the names of veterans they want to honor. A relay option splits the distance between partners, and a shorter timed walk starts after the runners head out.
The race benefits local military families directly, with proceeds distributed by the organizers themselves rather than through outside agencies. Food and coat donations collected at the event go to nearby pantries and shelters. The top male and female finishers earn a spot on perpetual trophies housed at the American Legion Post in Litchfield. There is beer at the finish.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
