About the High Bridge Half Marathon & 5k

The course runs on a former rail corridor through High Bridge Trail State Park, so the surface is packed crushed gravel and the grade stays nearly flat the whole way. The out-and-back route crosses the historic High Bridge, a long elevated span above the Appomattox River, a couple of times. Cheer groups and music are posted at spots along the trail, and first aid is available at each water station.

Packet pickup is the day before at a local outdoor adventure store on North Main Street in Farmville, with an early race-morning window as well. Someone other than the registered runner can grab the packet.
