About the Heart of Virginia Festival 10K & 5k Run
Both distances start from Main Street Plaza and head out along the High Bridge State Park Trail toward the old Farmville train station, then turn back the same way. The surface is crushed gravel, the grade is gentle throughout, and the trail runs through open rail-trail surroundings rather than technical terrain.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Parks and Recreation office, with race-morning pickup available at the start area. Parking is in a municipal lot directly across from the start and finish.
