About the Heroes Against Hunger 5K

The course runs through Murray Park, looping around on paved paths that stay flat the whole way. Strollers handle it fine, and dogs are welcome too. The surroundings are park scenery rather than city streets, which makes the route feel a bit removed from traffic even though you are not far from downtown Little Rock.

Packet pickup opens well before the start, so there is time to settle in. The race is put on by physician assistant students at a local university, and the proceeds go directly to a regional food bank program focused on kids.
