About the Hero Dash 5k

The course runs along the Legacy Trail beside Venice's Intracoastal Waterfront, so you get water views for most of the route. It starts and finishes at Legacy Park, near a historic train depot, and the terrain is the kind of paved trail that suits any pace.

After the race, the park fills out with food trucks, live music, vendors, and emergency vehicles on display, including antique fire engines. The event benefits a nonprofit supporting first responders and disaster relief. Parking has designated zones, and the marina lot is off-limits to race participants.
