About the Hernando Water Tower 10K and Half Marathon
Both distances start and finish on the historic town square, winding through tree-lined residential streets and past the old water tower that gives the race its name. The roads are paved and mostly flat, with the feel of a neighborhood run through a small Mississippi town rather than anything technical or remote.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a location in Nesbit, with a race-morning option at Hernando City Hall. Parking is available at the DeSoto County Administration Building, with overflow at a community center nearby. After finishing, there is live music from regional acts and food and drinks from local vendors on the square.
