About the Her Fight is Our Fight 5K Benefit
This race is a benefit run held at Edinburg Municipal Park, raising money to help a local police officer cover medical costs while she undergoes breast cancer treatment. The course is a road race through the park. The Rio Grande Valley running community shows up here not just to log miles but to stand behind someone who spent her career serving them.
The park is the hub for the morning, with a short fun run starting before the main event. Chip timing handles the results. The start area has the feel of a neighborhood gathering, with the honoree's story front and center throughout.
