About the Helping Hands of EG 5K In Memory of Alyssa Rose McGraw
This is a trail run that starts behind East Greenwich High School. The course goes off-road, so expect dirt underfoot rather than pavement. The race is held in memory of a young local resident, and proceeds benefit a handful of causes that were meaningful to her family, including programs for children and a neonatal intensive care unit.
The start area is in the back of the high school, which gives you a clear place to gather. Dogs are not permitted at the event. Post-race awards go to the top overall finishers as well as division leaders, so there is a competitive thread running through what is otherwise a neighborhood trail morning.
