About the Hell on Hogsback: Endurance Challenge
Hell on Hogsback is built around one steep hill in the Rocky River Reservation, and the whole point is to keep going up and down it until the clock runs out. Each loop drops from the hilltop down Hogsback Lane, reverses back up, and closes through the parking lot with a short stretch of single-track. The grade is steep enough that it qualifies as the challenge, not just the backdrop.
The start and finish sit at the top of the hill, where aid stations, tents, and vendors are set up. The race raises money for cancer patients who cannot cover their own medical costs, and the committee hand-delivers the proceeds directly to those people after the event.
