About the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children Turkey Trot 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk

This is a Thanksgiving-area turkey trot set in Avalon, a beach town that goes quiet in the off-season. The streets feel open, the salt air is part of the deal, and there is a separate prize for the most festively dressed runner or group alongside awards for top finishers overall and by age group.

Race-morning bib pickup happens at the start area on Avalon Avenue, so there is no need to sort anything out the day before. The timing is gun-based for overall placements, which is worth knowing if you are chasing a podium spot.
