The course starts and finishes at Muskingum Park, heading out along Front Street to Indian Acres Park and coming back on a bike path. The terrain is mixed but the route is flat throughout, and bringing a dog is a genuine option, not an afterthought. The charity behind the race focuses on keeping animals in their homes through veterinary assistance and spay/neuter support.
