About the 2026 Heart Diggity Dog 5K run/walk

This one is for dogs and their people. The route heads south from a medical campus near Midtown, passes Comerica Park, loops through the surrounding neighborhood, and comes back up toward the start. It is a road course through the middle of the city, flat enough that a dog with short legs can keep up.

Packet pickup and registration open the morning of the race, before the gun. Free parking is in a structure right at the start address, on the corner of Mack and Beaubien, and the window for that parking covers the full morning.
