About the Hawg Run

The course starts at a YMCA and winds through residential neighborhoods to a park before looping back. It is a point-to-point-and-back shape, so the surroundings stay familiar throughout. Proceeds support scholarships and program access for local kids and families, so there is a real reason the race exists beyond the running.

The race falls on the morning of a major barbecue festival, so parking downtown is tight and lots tend to fill early. Packet pickup happens the evening before at the YMCA, with a second window on race morning before the start. Budget extra time to navigate festival detours when you arrive.
