About the Haunted Horsepower 5K Run/Walk
The course runs on an actual motorsports race track, closed for the day to give runners the full surface. It is a road race with real elevation changes, so expect a few genuine climbs rather than a flat loop. The setting is unusual enough that it tends to hold your attention even when the hills are doing their work.
Pickup for your race number happens on race morning, so no separate trip the day before is needed. A kids dash runs before the main event, making the start area busy and a bit chaotic in the best way. The race benefits Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky.
