About the 3rd Annual Halloween Hustle 5k
The Halloween Hustle runs through Norwich in costume, which is more the point than the racing. Costumes are encouraged, and there are prizes for the best ones alongside awards for top finishers. The race benefits ACHIEVE, an organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the region.
A small Halloween carnival runs after the finish, so there is reason to stick around beyond crossing the line. The event is tied closely to ACHIEVE's programs, so the post-race crowd tends to include the people and families the organization serves, not just runners.
