Every upcoming Half Marathon around Centennial, with start times, entry fees, finish-time stats from past editions, start-line maps, and the local run clubs to train with.
Centennial is threaded together by greenbelts in a way that makes even a neighborhood jog feel like it has somewhere to go. The High Line Canal, Willow Creek, and the Cherry Creek corridors give runners a web of paths that link parks, open space, and creek gullies into loops with real topography - hills and ravines keep the legs honest even on easy days.
The racing scene here leans fun and accessible, with themed events that feel more like a community gathering than a competitive test. After a race, runners tend to drift toward the trail-adjacent spots locals already know well, including the area around Resolute Brewing, which shows up in conversation as a natural post-run landing spot.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 16, 2026.
Common Questions About Running a Half Marathon in Centennial
Is a Centennial half marathon a good first half marathon?
The format works in your favor: every race here also offers a 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile option at the same entry fee, so you can step up or back without losing your spot. There are no published finish-time results for these events, so we cannot tell you what pace to expect from the field - but the presence of shorter distances at every race suggests an inclusive, low-pressure atmosphere.
When is the best time of year to find a half marathon in Centennial?
Fall - September through November - is the busiest stretch, with 12 races. Winter brings 10, and Summer 6. If you want the most options, fall is when the calendar fills up. January is the single busiest month with 4 races; February is the quietest with 2.
Do these races give out shirts?
All 28 half marathons say they give a shirt. None mention a finisher's medal, though races that said nothing about medals have simply not published that detail - it is not the same as confirming there is none.
What are some good routes to run in Centennial before race day?
The High Line Canal Trail gives you extended, gently graded miles through Centennial's open spaces - good for long training runs. Cherry Creek State Park's reservoir loop covers varied surfaces with open water views. If you want something shorter and hillier, the Willow Creek Trail winds through gullies and neighborhood greenbelts and gives the legs a different kind of workout than the flatter canal paths.
