About the 2026 GVSU Turkey Trot
The course starts and finishes at a campus clock tower, so the finish line is easy to find and packet pickup is right there. It runs through a college campus in Allendale, and the timing puts it just before Thanksgiving, when the grounds tend to be quiet with most students gone for break.
All proceeds go to the campus cross country and track club, which is self-funded, so the entry fee goes directly toward athlete travel and competition costs. Age group awards go deep enough that a range of runners have a real shot at placing.

The 2026 GVSU Turkey Trot has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
