About the Gummball 5K
The Gummball 5K is held at Adams County Regional Park and honors Deputy Heath Gumm, who was killed in the line of duty. Proceeds go to nonprofits supporting law enforcement and first responders, including the Colorado Police Canine Association. The crowd skews toward people connected to that community, so the atmosphere is more tribute than typical weekend race.
Packet pickup is the evening before at a sheriff's office substation lobby in Commerce City. On race day, the start is under the pavilion at the park, with parking behind the fairgrounds. Registration closes briefly the day before and reopens race morning, but arriving early keeps things on schedule.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Gummball 5K has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
