About the 4th Annual Gulf Coast State College Athletics 5K Turkey Trot
The course starts on a college campus and heads out along an out-and-back route that takes runners up and over a drawbridge. That climb is the defining moment of the race: you are above the water, open sky on both sides, before the route turns you back toward the start. It is a genuine hill in a part of the state that rarely offers one.
Packet pickup runs the evening before in the Wellness Building lobby on campus, with race-morning pickup available as well. The race benefits college athletics, and the entry fees go directly toward that program.
