About the Groundhog Day 5K - Pittsburgh
The race runs through North Park, which gives it a wooded, open feel even in the middle of winter. The course is mostly flat, suited to a brisk winter morning, and the Groundhog Day theme brings out families alongside solo runners chasing age group awards across several categories.
Packet pickup is race morning only, at the North Park Boathouse parking lot. The Boathouse lot itself does not have runner parking, but there is plenty of space across the street and along the road nearby. Restrooms are available both inside the boathouse and just outside it.
