About the Gregory Burnett, Sr. Memorial 5K & Fun Run
The course runs along the shoreline at Calf Pasture Beach, with Long Island Sound alongside you for much of the way. It is a certified route, so the distance is measured and marked. The race honors a man who was deeply connected to his community, and the morning reflects that, with vendors, team recognition, and a musical guest adding to the atmosphere around the finish.
The event is organized by a local fraternity chapter and a nonprofit foundation, and the fundraising focus is real: scholarship awards go to groups that raise the most for the foundation.
