About the Greater Binghamton Bridge Run

The course takes you across several bridges and under another, with both rivers visible from the road at different points along the way. The route moves through a few distinct Binghamton neighborhoods, including downtown and a couple of residential sides of the city. The terrain is mostly flat, with only a gentle roll here and there, so the bridges are the main feature rather than any real climbing.

Common Questions About the Greater Binghamton Bridge Run

Will I finish last at the Greater Binghamton Bridge Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 13.1 Miles field finished slower than 2:01:10, and the last recorded finisher came in around 3:33:22, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Greater Binghamton Bridge Run a good first 13.1 Miles?

A field of 657 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 13.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Greater Binghamton Bridge Run?

The 13.1 Miles winner ran 1:07:34 while the median finisher took 2:01:10. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
