About the Great Santa Run 5K & Santa's Little Elves Fun Run
The race runs through Park Place in Leawood, a mixed-use area with paved streets and open plazas. It draws a holiday crowd, many of them dressed as Santa, and benefits a local children's charity. There is a kids fun run alongside the main event, so the morning tends to attract families as much as serious runners.
Packet pickup runs across two pre-race days at a pair of local running stores on either side of the state line. Leftovers make it to the start area on race morning, so you have options if the earlier windows do not work.
