About the Graveyard 5k Run & Fun Run

The course runs entirely through Elmwood Cemetery, one of the oldest burial grounds in Kansas City. The route winds among the graves of some of the city's most historically significant figures, so there is genuine history to look at while you run. The grounds are maintained landscaping rather than wild terrain, though expect uneven paths and grass in places.

Packet pickup happens the evening before the race at a Dick's Sporting Goods location. After the race, beer and wine tastings and guided cemetery tours are available for those who want to linger.
