About the Grandview 13.1 & 5k
This one earns its reputation. The course starts at Columbus Youth Camp, drops hard along Wolf Creek to a turnaround, then climbs back up. After crossing the start area again, another steep descent takes you down to Grandview Lake, where rolling roads circle the water with open views. Then comes the final climb back to the camp. There is no flat stretch to rest on.
The shorter option covers the same punishing descents and climbs, just a tighter version of the same idea. Parking and the start are both at Columbus Youth Camp, so everything is in one place when you arrive.
