About the Boo Bash Costume Dash 5K and Trick or Trot Kids Fun Run
The Boo Bash Costume Dash runs through Mill Race Park, and costumes are part of the deal. It is a timed 5k, so people are actually racing, but the theme keeps things loose. The kids fun run threads through stops where local community partners hand out candy along the route, which makes it feel like a neighborhood event that happens to have a start line.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Centra Corporate Headquarters, across town from the park. Race-morning check-in opens before the kids run goes off, with the 5k to follow. Sponsors set up near the Mill Race Tower, and the main parking lot serves the park. The race benefits United Way partner organizations.
