About the Gourdy's Pumpkin Run: Indianapolis
This downtown Indianapolis race runs through the heart of the city in the thick of fall, when the surroundings actually match the season. The course is paved and open to all paces, and the route has the feel of a tour through the city center rather than a grind. A portion of registration fees goes toward Girls on the Run.
Apple cider is waiting at the finish, along with a pile of pumpkins to pick from and take home. It is a genuinely nice touch after a fall morning run, and the kind of detail that brings families out in force.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a big field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Gourdy's Pumpkin Run: Indianapolis has been held every year since at least 2014. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
