About the Go For the Gold Rochester
The race is held on Halloween, and the organizers lean into it. Costumes are encouraged for adults and kids alike, and there are prizes for the best ones. The course runs near the Cascade Lakeside Building area at a park, so expect water nearby and open surroundings. The event supports families affected by childhood cancer, and that mission is visible throughout the morning.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a credit union drive-through, which keeps race-morning lines short. There is also a race-morning pickup window at the Cascade Lakeside Building for those who cannot make the earlier slot.
