About the Get Basted Turkey Trot 5K, 10K, 15K, Half
The course is a loop through North Georgia terrain, fairly flat but with the gentle rolls you expect in that part of the state. It is electronically timed, with self-serve water stations spread along the route. Several distance options are available, from a short loop up to a half marathon, so people come in with pretty different goals.
Packet pickup opens on race morning about an hour before the start, and the organizers suggest arriving closer to that opening than to the gun. Bibs can also be mailed ahead if you want to skip the morning check-in line. Race-day registration is available as well.
