About the Frosty 5k
The course starts at a college campus and winds through downtown Lincolnton, so you get a mix of open road and storefronts rather than a trail or a park loop. The route is essentially flat, with a water station partway through, and the surrounding streets make it easy for spectators to find a spot.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the local YMCA, with a race-morning window as well. After the finish, Santa shows up for photos, and there are cookies around, which makes the post-race scene feel more like a neighborhood gathering than a typical finish-line tent.

The Frosty 5k has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
