About the Frightful 5K & Monster Mile
The course runs through East Palestine City Park and out onto the surrounding residential streets, so you get a mix of open park space and neighborhood scenery. It is a Halloween event, and costumes are part of the culture here. Prizes go to the top costume finishers, so expect some genuine effort from fellow participants.
Packet pickup and race-day registration both open in the morning at the Community Building inside the park. The mile goes off first, followed by the 5K. Awards cover overall and age-group finishers across a wide range of categories.
