About the East Palestine Turkey Trot 5K
This is a Thanksgiving morning 5K organized by the local chamber of commerce, so it carries a civic, small-town character rather than a big race-series feel. The organizer's copy does not describe the course terrain, but the event draws a crowd that includes runners and walkers of all speeds, and cash prizes go to top finishers across a wide range of age groups.
Packet pickup happens the weekend before the race at the East Palestine Community Center, run as a drive-through near the basketball courts and the children's playground.
