Evansville, IN
The Drumstick Dash runs on Thanksgiving, so the crowd skews festive and the pace skews easy. The race benefits the Evansville Rescue Mission directly, with proceeds funding a Thanksgiving food box program for local families. The mission behind it gives the morning a weight that most road races do not carry.
