About the Friends 5K Run/Walk

The course runs on the campus of the cancer center the race benefits, so the surroundings give the morning a particular weight. It is a road course through a medical campus, flat enough that most people move through it steadily. The cause is close at hand in a literal sense, which shapes the atmosphere without anyone having to say so.

Race-morning bib pickup runs until shortly before the start, so you do not need to come out the day before. Parking is in designated lots on campus, and signs direct you from there.
