About the Friday Night Lights 5k
The course starts with a steep downhill stretch, then winds through residential neighborhoods before coming back to Trailblazer Park, finishing near an amphitheater and farmers market pavilion. A police escort runs the whole route, so there are no intersections to navigate. The race is tied to the local high school football program, and that crowd shows up.
Packet pickup opens before the start at the park. Afterward there is music and a post-race hangout on site. Age group awards go to the top finishers in each category, with chip timing posting results as runners cross.
