About the FRESNO TWILIGHT 10,000M Track Meet
This is a track meet held in the evening, which gives it a different feel from a road race. The main event is a 10K run entirely on the track, loop after loop under the lights, with music playing and high school cheerleaders on the infield. Shorter distance options round out the night. Proceeds benefit a local high school cross country team.
Hot chocolate and pan dulce are at the finish, and a taco truck is on site. The atmosphere leans more block party than time trial, which makes sense given the school spirit angle. If you have never raced a 10K on a track before, this is a good excuse to find out what it feels like.
