About the Freedom Isn't Free Run 5K
The race runs through Clover Park, and the cause behind it shapes the mood of the morning. It benefits the Treasure Coast Blue Star Mothers, an organization that supports local military families and veterans. Age group awards go to top finishers across the field, so there is a competitive thread running through what is otherwise a pretty welcoming start line.
Chip timing is handled on-site, so results are posted quickly. Post-race awards cover overall leaders and age group podiums, giving the finish area some energy after the last runners come in.
