About the Fowl Fun Run 5K & 10K
Both courses run on farm roads through the Skagit Valley, keeping traffic light and the terrain flat the whole way. The surroundings are open agricultural land, so there is sky and field in every direction. The shorter and longer distances share the same kind of road, just different amounts of it.
Packet pickup is the evening before at a local running store in Mount Vernon, with race-morning pickup available for pre-registered runners as well. Post-race, there is pumpkin pie at the finish. The 10K also has a novelty angle: a costumed turkey sets off a few minutes behind the field, and finishing ahead of him earns a special award.
