About the Foundry Halloween 5k
The course mixes trail and road through Steamboat Springs, so underfoot conditions shift as you go. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and leashed dogs are welcome on course alongside their owners. The race closes out a local running series, so there is a sense of a season wrapping up rather than just another weekend event.
After the finish, homemade Halloween treats are set out, and the post-race area has carnival-style activities for kids and adults. It skews toward a Halloween celebration that happens to involve running, and the atmosphere reflects that.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
