About the Foster the Future Run
The course runs through Hahamongna Watershed Park, a naturalistic open space with oak-shaded paths and a sense of being well outside the city, even though it sits close to the foothills. The race benefits Journey House, an organization that supports young people aging out of the foster system, so the crowd around you tends to have a purpose to it beyond finishing time.
Packet pickup and race-morning registration both happen at the park itself, so there is no separate trip the day before. Registration closes shortly before the start, and late arrivals can still run but will not receive official results.
