About the 14th Annual Fort Lauderdale Shamrock Run
The course runs out and back along Las Olas, starting and finishing at Huizenga Plaza in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. It is a flat stretch through one of the city's main corridors, and the Shamrock Run theme means plenty of green in the crowd. There are distance options for adults and a separate kids dash, so the plaza gets busy and social by mid-morning.
Packet pickup happens in the days before the race at a location on S Andrews Ave, with several afternoon and evening windows to choose from. Race-morning pickup is also available at Huizenga Plaza before the start. If you drive to packet pickup, avoid the Tin Roof parking lot; street parking on SE First Street and a couple of nearby city garages are the better options.
