About the Flirt with Dirt

The course runs through Brecksville Reservation on hiking and bridle trails, so the footing is natural and uneven in the way trail running tends to be. Expect dirt underfoot, some rooted sections, and the kind of tree cover that makes a wooded park feel removed from everything around it. It is a trail race, not a road race dressed up in scenery.

The start area is at the Meadows Picnic Area inside the reservation. That puts you well into the park before the race even begins, with a post-race spread of whatever the organizers set out in the picnic grounds.
