About the Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15K

The course runs through the neighborhoods sitting on top of Monte Sano mountain, so expect real elevation and a route that feels more like a mountain-road run than a flat city loop. The streets wind through a residential area, with aid stations spaced out across the course. It is a certified route and qualifies for state records.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a Fleet Feet Sports location, with race-morning pickup available at the church that serves as the start area. Parking is directed by volunteers, and the organizers ask that you follow their guidance rather than finding your own spot on a side street.

Common Questions About the Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15K

Will I finish last at the Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 15K field finished slower than 1:29:52, and the last recorded finisher came in around 2:18:45, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15K a good first 15K?

A field of 359 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 15K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15K?

The 15K winner ran 55:28 while the median finisher took 1:29:52. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
