About the Fleet Feet 9th annual Furnace 5K Run and Kids Dash

The course starts and finishes in front of a Fleet Feet running store and winds through the North River Shores neighborhood, which is flat and residential. This is a summer morning race, and the heat is the whole point; the name is not a metaphor. There is also a kids dash on the schedule.

Packet pickup runs across the two evenings before the race at the Fleet Feet store, and no ID is required, so you can grab packets for others if you know their name. The race is run as a leave-no-trace event, so bringing a reusable water bottle is encouraged. A portion of proceeds supports a local Girls on the Run chapter.
