The course follows the American Tobacco Trail through C.M. Herndon Park, a paved multi-use path that runs through trees and open stretches south of downtown Durham. Volunteers stationed along the way throw handfuls of colored cornstarch at runners and walkers as they pass, so expect to finish looking nothing like you started.
