About the Firecracker 5k
The course is flat and runs through Bar Harbor on Independence Day, finishing near the town ballfields. The race benefits the local YMCA, and the whole morning is timed around the holiday, with a parade following later in the day.
Bib pickup and day-of registration are at the YMCA on Park Street. The Rotary sets up a blueberry pancake breakfast at the ballfields after the finish, and the note on parking is worth reading ahead of time: the YMCA lot is closed the morning of the race due to a craft fair nearby.
