About the FIRA USA Fun Run 5K
The course follows the Yakima Greenway, a paved path along the river corridor, starting and finishing at the Hansen Building. The surroundings are open and green, and the route is the kind you can run at a comfortable pace without much to worry about underfoot. It draws a mix of conference attendees and anyone who wants a morning out on the path.
After the race, there is a social gathering near the finish with local refreshments, food and drink from the region. Packet pickup and the start are both at the Hansen Building, so there is one place to orient yourself before the gun goes off.
