About the Fight Child Hunger 5K Run/Walk
The race starts and finishes at a high school, so the course is set against that kind of open suburban campus feel. It is organized around a cause, raising awareness for childhood hunger through two local nonprofits, and the turnout reflects that; teams, school groups, and families tend to show up together.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store, with race-morning pickup available at the start. After the race, there is a pancake breakfast at the finish area.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Fight Child Hunger 5K Run/Walk has been held every year since at least 2017. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
