About the Fiddlers 5k, Kids Fun Run, and Family Fun Day
The course starts on campus, in front of a main university building, then heads out through the historic district before finishing on a nearby street. The route is certified, so the distance is measured accurately. It passes through older parts of town, which gives the run some character beyond a typical out-and-back.
After the race, there is a kids' area with inflatables and face painting, and hot dogs are available. The campus also hosts a shorter children's run, with a bear mascot on hand for that one. The post-race setup is oriented toward families spending a full morning on campus.
