About the FAST AND FURRIEST
This is a dog-friendly run starting at the Palmer Train Depot, where leashes are as required as running shoes. The course is marked, and conditions on race day can range from clear pavement to snow and ice, so layers and traction are worth thinking about. Proceeds benefit a nonprofit that pairs veteran dogs with veterans as service dogs.
Bib pickup runs the evening before at a local performance footwear shop in Palmer, with additional check-in at the Train Depot on race morning. There is no day-of registration, so online signup beforehand is the only option. Water, electrolytes, and light snacks are at the finish, and awards go to the top finishers in both distances, plus top dogs and their owners.
